Industrial Relations
By its very nature employing people will at some time result in either the employer or the employee having a grievance. Examples of grievances employees may have are as follows:
- Rates of pay / Terms and conditions of employment
- Distribution of overtime
- Career development
- Changes in work practices
- Termination of employment
Many of these areas are not covered directly by legislation but can be a source of unrest if not properly addressed resulting in disgruntled employees who may seek outside assistance in the form of trade unions or referral to the Rights Commissioner / Labour Relations Commission / Labour Court.
MSS can, through its experience in these areas, provide assistance in finding solutions or representing the employer’s interest when dealing with third parties.
